Consultation for Changes to Admissions Arrangements for Reception Entry 2019/2020

We are required by the Schools Admissions Code 2014 to consult on any changes to our admissions arrangements. Following advice from the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education, we are consulting on changes to our existing Admissions Criteria and Explanatory Notes documents, for entry to Reception for 2019/2020.  It is proposed that these documents are amalgamated into a single Admissions Policy and that the activities which will be deemed to constitute “active involvement in the work and mission of a church” are defined, in order to provide clarity to parents/carers.  We welcome comments on these changes only.

The proposed new policy can be viewed here and the draft supplementary information form is available here.

This consultation will last until 3.30pm on 12 January 2018.  Any comments or objections should be emailed to Mrs. A. McGrath at receptionconsultation@bishopgilpin.org for consideration by the Governing Body.

Note: You can find the Schools Admissions Code on the Department for Education’s website.
